Master Laser-Based Aesthetics: Basic & Advanced Training with Candela Devices
Why Candela — and Why Proper Training Matters
Candela Medical is a global leader in energy-based aesthetic devices. Founded in 1970 in Massachusetts (USA), Candela develops and manufactures a broad range of devices — including lasers, IPL, and RF-microneedling machines — used by dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and medical spas worldwide.
Candela’s technology powers treatments for many aesthetic needs: hair removal, skin rejuvenation, treatment of vascular conditions, pigmentation issues, tattoo removal, scar and stretch-mark reduction, and more.
Because these treatments rely on energy-based systems, understanding laser physics, skin interaction, safety protocols, and correct machine handling is critical — specially to optimize results and minimize risk. That’s where training comes in.
What Our Basic & Advanced Training Covers
Our training programs are split into Basic and Advanced levels — designed to build from foundational knowledge to advanced clinical application with Candela devices.
Basic Training (Introduction & Fundamentals)
· Laser Physics 101 — Understanding what a laser is: the “gain medium,” the mechanism of stimulated emission, and how lasers produce a concentrated beam of light.
· Laser Safety & Fundamentals — Knowing the required safety measures (protective eyewear, correct room setup), the basics of how energy interacts with skin, and contraindications.
· Overview of Candela Device Portfolio — Introduction to various Candela machines: IPL, RF microneedling, and basic laser systems.
· Indications & Treatment Mapping — What skin/hair/vascular/pigmentation problems each modality can treat (hair removal, skin rejuvenation, pigmentation, vascular lesions, etc.)
Advanced Training (Clinical Use & Protocols)
· Hands-on Operation of Candela Devices — Practical sessions using real Candela equipment (laser, IPL, RF-microneedling), under supervision — covering all major applications: hair removal, skin rejuvenation, pigmentation, vascular conditions, tattoo removal when applicable.
· Treatment Customization & Protocols — How to choose the right device/settings for each patient based on skin type, concern (e.g., hair removal vs pigment vs vascular), and desired outcome.
· Pre- & Post-Treatment Care — Preparing skin before treatment, aftercare protocols, minimizing risk (burns, pigment changes), understanding contraindications and client counseling.
· Business & Practice Integration Guidance — Tips on how to integrate Candela treatments into aesthetic practice: building an effective treatment menu, ensuring device maintenance & safety, maximizing patient satisfaction and business return.
